Biography

Born in Jerusalem (1935), to a father of Italian origin and a mother of German origin

Diplomate in Logotherapy, 2001

M.A.- Educational Sciences, Tel-Aviv University, 1976.

B.A.- Political Sciences and General History, Haifa University, 1968.

Certified Chief Officer, on seagoing Merchant Marine vessels, 1962

Certified group leader, Specialized in Individual psychology (focused on the “third age”), at the Adler Institute in Tel-Aviv (1993), and at the International Adlerian summer schools.

Specialized in Logotherapy, earned the credential of a Diplomate in Logotherapy, 2001.

Founder & President of “OTSMOT” institute, the approved Viktor Frankl Center for Logotherapy in Israel, since 1996

Acting as training coordinator to sea and shore personnel in the largest Israeli shipping company (after some 10 years on sea). Constructing and operating professional and behavioral training programs, including ship’s command and managerial executive staff (1965-1995).

Counselor, lecturer and group leader in various academic and wide-range institutions; a former guest lecturer at the University of Pisa, Italy.

Enriched by a long working experience with a variety of populations, focusing on Meaning-Centered Living in the human daily life circles (at work, in society, in the family and with self); teaching Logotherapy, and presenting on local and International congresses and conferences.

Founder and leader of the extended training and qualification studies program in Logotherapy – Diplomates – for Hebrew speaking students in Israel, under the auspices and recognition of the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy USA, and recognized by the Viktor Frankl Institute in Vienna, and UNISA (the University of South Africa

Founder and former President of the Logotherapy Association in Israel (R.A.) – since 2009.

Promoter and Organizer of the first international world Congress on Viktor Frankl’s Logotherapy in Israel 2015.

Married to Judith J.M., who entered the eternal life in 2022, being my life partner for 58 years. Judith was an Educational Counselor and Diplomate in Logotherapy, Secretary and member of Board of directors to OTSMOT Institute and the Viktor Frankl Center for Logotherapy in Israel and Chairman of The Logotherapy Association in Israel (R.A.); Member of Board of directors to the Dutch-Jewish parent’s home in Haifa – “Beith-Joles”; active voluntary board member in Dutch-Jewish aid organizations.

Being Beith-Joles residents since 2016, after the big fire that damaged our home.
